Mike Hayhurst - Founder & Creative Director
Mike Hayhurst is a producer and director for theatre and film. Recent film credits include Oma starring Lynn Cohen; multiple award winning The Pits; Lightening Bugs in a Jar (premiered at Cannes 2015); The Trip to Bountiful with Cicely Tyson; and A Day Late and a Dollar Short with Whoopi Goldberg for Lifetime. He spent four years as an Assistant/Associate at Ostar Enterprises (Rizzoli & Isles, TNT; Beauty and the Beast, CW;Company Town, CW; Nothing to Hide, directed by Neil Patrick Harris at Signature Theater; various Broadway projects).
New York theatre credits include: MacSPIN; Duderonomy; Some Dead Bodies; King of Bohemia (MITF, Winner: Outstanding Direction); Miró; Love Thy Neighbour. Mike was born and raised in the UK where his directing credits included: Titus; The Vikings and Darwin; Orvin- Champion of Champions; Zombie Prom; Ubu Roi; Burying Your Brother in the Pavement. For two years he was the Youth Theatre Director for Royal & Derngate Theatres where he programmed and ran weekly theatre programs for over 200 young people between the ages of 2-21. He was Assistant Director to Rupert Goold on his productions ofHamlet; Faustus; and Paradise Lost; an Associate Director for R.I.P.P. ‘08 (Norway); and Crackers? (Singapore and UK). He was also Plinther #733 in One & Other by Anthony Gormley (Trafalgar Square, London).
Allison Hayhurst - Founder & Managing Director
Allison Hayhurst is a producer, writer, and puppeteer. Originally from Alabama, she moved to NYC after completing the Professional Training Company apprenticeship at Actors Theatre of Louisville. Allison has held several positions before starting at Evening Squire. She previously taught theatre and improvisation with Curious Jane and Jersey City Children's Theater. She has written several short films and worked on countless others. Allison is also part of Team Lopez, a puppet improv group. And, don't be frightened if you hear Mike refer to Allison as "Moy." It is her maiden name and honestly two syllables shorter than Allison.
Jacqueline Wheeler - Casting Director
Jacqueline Wheeler currently works at the New York based Talent Agency, Nicolosi & Co. She received her MFA in Acting at Michigan State University. Her secondary focus while pursuing her terminal degree was the business of acting. Jacqueline has worked for Don Buchwald & Associates, Stephanie Holbrook Casting, and the Krasny Agency in New York City. She has taught theatre all over the country and even traveled to teach English through theatre in Istanbul, Turkey.
Taylor Bridges - Resident Composer
An award-winning singer, songwriter, and storyteller - Taylor is thrilled to be collaborating with Evening Squire. He studied Music (BM in Vocal Performance) at the University of Alabama and studied lyric writing at the prestigious BMI Musical Theatre Writers Workshop. He wrote the music for Huckleberry Haywood that premiered at the New York Musical Theatre Festival. He also wrote the music for the short films Uncertainty Principle, Bait and Switch, & Shoelaces.
